The Twisted: Tea Collection explores the intersection of textile design and ceramic craft, reimagining the tactile qualities of knit patterns in solid, sculptural forms. This collection—comprising a teapot, sugar bowl, and spoon/fork set—draws inspiration from the intricate twists and interwoven textures of fabric, transforming them into functional, ceramic objects that invite both visual and tactile engagement. The collection examines how the softness and fluidity of textiles can be captured in the rigid materiality of ceramics, offering a new way of experiencing texture in everyday objects. Each piece reflects a deliberate manipulation of form, where the twisting curves and organic contours mimic the tactile sensations of fabric, but through a medium that is both durable and enduring. Through the Twisted: Tea Collection, I sought to challenge the boundaries between materiality and form, blending the inherent warmth and comfort of textiles with the refinement and stability of ceramic design.
